Great machine, best stitches for the money

I bought the Janome 8077 30 stitch sewing machine as a gift for a close friend after looking around and reading some reviews. I thought it would be a good machine for her to learn on. I decided to look over the manual at first to check out some of the features and gave it a test run on some spare material I had. This is one of the quietest sewing machines I've used and the stitches are beautiful. It is also very lightweight and I can carry it around with ease. The funny thing is that I liked it so much I decided to keep it and order another for the gift. I just couldn't give it up after using it. I now sew several times per week on it.

Overall this machine is much better than the other models out there, and most of them cost more. I also own a more expensive Bernina but I prefer the 8077 to that one. I do still occassionally use it but most of the time I pull this Janome out of storage. I would highly recommend it to anybody who likes to sew as a side hobby. You won't believe how much you can get for your money these days. It's fully computerized with a nice LED screen and many other features. Threading the needle and setting the controls is simple, even for someone as advanced in years as myself!
