Easy sewing for beginners

I decided to buy the Janome Sewist 500 since I'm still a beginner when it comes to sewing. While I've been doing it on and off for a few years I really haven't dedicated the time to learn how to sew like a pro. I needed a machine that was easy to use but wouldn't cost too much. I looked into the Janome Magnolia as well but found the Sewist for a much better price. I'm pretty happy with my decision.
Quality workhorse of a machine

I have to say that the Janome TB12 Threadbanger is quite the workhorse of a sewing machine. I have worked professionally for several years as a tailor and have a lot of experience with many types of machines. I have used Bernina quite a bit but they are too expensive for my budget. I found this Janome after reading some online reviews and after using it I can say that it sews as good as any Bernina I used. It really makes some nice stitches and is very easy to use.

I bought the Janome 8077 30 stitch sewing machine as a gift for a close friend after looking around and reading some reviews. I thought it would be a good machine for her to learn on. I decided to look over the manual at first to check out some of the features and gave it a test run on some spare material I had. This is one of the quietest sewing machines I've used and the stitches are beautiful. It is also very lightweight and I can carry it around with ease. The funny thing is that I liked it so much I decided to keep it and order another for the gift. I just couldn't give it up after using it. I now sew several times per week on it.

I recently bought the Janome 634D MyLock Overlock serger and really like it. It works great for those different threads that I need to create. I have limited experience with a sewing machine but found this serger to be easy to use. I also like the price as it was affordable compared to the other machines I looked at. This was important to me because I'm not a professional seamstress. I just needed a good machine to do different designs.

I recently bought the Janome 7330 sewing machine. I am a first time sewer and didn't want to spend a lot of money so this was one of the machines I was looking at. I wanted an embroidery or sewing machine that I could really grow into as my skills improved but also wanted something that was not difficult to use. I read a lot of reviews online and was drawn to the Janome lineup. Brother seemed to have a lot to offer as well but something drew me to the 7330 and I'm glad I made the leap of faith. I actually went to a local store to look at the various models and all the Janomes I saw were very well built. This is important to me.
