Brother LB-6800PRW Computerized Embroidery and Sewing Machines

Good machine, even for a beginner like me

Rating:

By Abby Martinez

I hadn't used a sewing machine in more than 10 years so I was a little hesitant when buying one. I looked around quite a bit and found that I needed one that could do embroidery as well as sew. Most of these combo machines looked good but something just stood out on the Brother LB-6800 PRW. As a 'Project Runway' model it is equipped with more functionality than their standard machines, but also has a higher price.

It sews and embroiders much better than my prior sewing machine but I did have some problems getting used to threading. I do, however, really like connecting it to my computer.

Brother XL-3750 Free-Arm Sewing Machines

An overall great value

Rating:

By Tiffany Jordan

I needed a lightweight sewing machine that was easy to just start up and go. After doing some research, reading reviews, and even testing out a couple of machines I opted for the Brother XL-3750. The very first thing I noticed about it was the quick start guide which helped me sew right away. There is a chart for getting the bobbin and machine threaded which I worked through quickly. It did, however, take me a couple turns to get used to the automatic needle threader. I haven't ever had an automatic threading machine before and once I got this down I realized what I had been missing out on.

Brother PC-420 PRW Limited Edition Project Runway Sewing Machine

In love with the PC420!

Rating:

By Helen Austin

The Brother PC-420 PRW Limited Edition Project Runway is a very nice sewing machine. It was easy to just set it up and sew on. I browsed through the manual only one time and was able to start sewing with much more confidence than ever before. The very first thing I noticed was how quiet it was. The other sewing machines I tried out made a bit more noise and in my household that just wouldn’t fly. I like to quietly sew and quilt when everyone else is asleep.

Brother PC-210 PRW Project Runway Sewing Machine

A very impressive machine

I purchased the Brother PC-210 Project Runway sewing machine a few weeks ago and find that it is a big upgrade over my prior model. I looked at several machines from all the top companies and thought this offered the most for the price. The biggest feature for me was the ultra controllable speed as my daughter likes to sew at a very slow speed.

Brother XL2610 Free-Arm Sewing Machine

Just the sewing machine I was looking for

Rating:

By Janet Perrino

I recently bought the Brother XL2610 sewing machine and am really liking it. I think of myself as a very advanced seamstress but I have only previously used Singer machines to sew with. I have recently become more interested in doing stretch garments and I really needed a variety of stitches. This lead me directly to this model and I find that it sews great, creating the stitches I need. I didn't even have to adjust the tension, I simply followed the instructions on threading and it worked great right from the start.

Brother SE350 Computerized Embroidery and Sewing Machine

Great sewing machine for a beginner

Rating:

By Sheryl Pearson

I am a relative novice and just starting to learn how to sew. I bought the Brother SE350 sewing and embroidery machine because I heard it was easy to use and could still help me learn embroidering as well. This machine is great and I find it very easy to learn on. The instruction manual that was included is also simple to follow and includes many sewing hints. These tips even helped me sew a small sleeper for a family member in only a couple of days.

Brother 1034D Thread Serger Sewing Machine

Best low priced serger I could find

By Samantha O'Leary

I decided to give the Brother 1034D serger a try after learning how sergers actually worked. While I am a novice I have used a sewing machine in the past but wanted to try out a serger. After reading the reviews for this Brother, which were mostly positive, I decided to buy one. I love it! It is extremely easy to use and it comes with instruction CDs with tips and tricks on how to get the most out of your sewing projects. This is helpful to any beginner.

Brother XL2600I 25 Stitch Free Arm Sewing Machine Review

Quality sewing machine at a good price

The Brother XL2600I 25 stitch sewing machine is your basic mechanical machine. The picture they show you is exactly what you get. It is pretty light in weight and really easy to use. This machine comes equipped with three all purpose needles plus all the extra features it lists. I had purchased some super heavey weight needles to use for jeans and had absolutely no trouble sewing with them. This Brother also has a reverse option for locking in a stitch, but you do need to hold down the button (not a huge deal though).

Brother LS2125I Free Arm Sewing Machine Review

Nice machine for basic sewing and crafting

Rating:

By T. Hamilton

I typically use the Brother LS2125I 10 stitch sewing machine to do some easy lingerie slips and other items so I don't have a lot of experience stitching. Even though I am a newbie I am surprised with the quality of this machine. In my opinion, the threading is quite easy but I find that I do have to use a paper clip as one other review stated to get the thread by the take up lever. I am also getting used to the tension lever as it sometimes causes bunching up during use.

Brother CS6000I 60-Stitch Free-Arm Sewing Machine

A low priced sewing machine with a lot of value

Rating:

By Joan Hartley Boston, USA

The Brother 60 stitch computerized sewing machine presents a great value for the money today. I find this to be one of the easiest to use machines you can find and the manual that comes with it is surprisingly helpful. This model comes with just about every foot and accessory you would ever need, and in reality there are no other accessories available for it. Most of the other embroidery and sewing machines we looked at had many different add-ons that would cost more money but not this unit from Brother. I appreciated the fact that they were looking out for their customers.
