Just the machine I was looking for

I was looking for a sewing machine that was not only easy to learn on but also one that would work when I became more experienced. The Singer Heavy Duty 4423 really stood out and I'm glad I made the choice. I found it for a great price of around $140 but I would have paid a little more if needed. It really is a great price for a beginner because you don't want to spend a ton of money if you don't really like to sew that often. All of those features would go unused, but this can't happen with the 4423 because it is priced right.
One of the things that really struck me was the appearance.

Only 1 Gripe With The Singer 2250

I've had the Singer 2250 Tradition sewing machine for a while now. I actually found a good price at our local mall but I see the online prices are the same now. I wasn't someone who would sew very much and I used to just borrow my mother's machine. However, I wanted to get more involved doing some extensive sewing projects so I thought I'd get my own. I also need something that was portable so the Singer 2250 really stood out for me.
It worked almost flawlessly right from the start. I merely had to adjust the thread tension which only took a couple minutes.

Truly an all-in-one machine

The Singer Futura SES1000 sewing and embroidery machine is really everything it claims to be and then some. It is fully electronic and fairly intuitive to use, even for the novice sewer. You do need a personal computer to connect it to but who doesn't have one of them these days? I'm an older guy with no experience but I find this machine to be easy to understand which is really helping me embrace my new hobby. I really like the fact that indepth sewing skills are not necessary for embroidering. You really just need to learn how to let the machine do what it was designed to do.

Easy sewing for beginners

I decided to buy the Janome Sewist 500 since I'm still a beginner when it comes to sewing. While I've been doing it on and off for a few years I really haven't dedicated the time to learn how to sew like a pro. I needed a machine that was easy to use but wouldn't cost too much. I looked into the Janome Magnolia as well but found the Sewist for a much better price. I'm pretty happy with my decision.

Good machine, even for a beginner like me

I hadn't used a sewing machine in more than 10 years so I was a little hesitant when buying one. I looked around quite a bit and found that I needed one that could do embroidery as well as sew. Most of these combo machines looked good but something just stood out on the Brother LB-6800 PRW. As a 'Project Runway' model it is equipped with more functionality than their standard machines, but also has a higher price.
It sews and embroiders much better than my prior sewing machine but I did have some problems getting used to threading. I do, however, really like connecting it to my computer.

A really great sewing machine

I bought the Singer 7258 Stylist sewing machine fairly recently and quickly found that it is so much better than the other machines I have used in the past. I'm actually wondering just how much better their more expensive models are because this one is pretty affordable. Overall though, I didn't have to spend any more money on this machine because it sews everything I need it to. Now for some things I like about it.
The Stylist sews very smoothly and it is very quiet during use. Sometimes I can't believe I am actually sewing because I barely hear anything. But I just look down and see the nice stitches that I just created and I'm assured that it is working. I also like having the option to have the needle stop either up or down.

Decent serging machine for my jobs

I've never bought or even used a serger before but wanted to give one a try. I have a Singer sewing machine so it was natural for me to look into them and check out their sergers. I actually found the 14SH6540 model on clearance at a local store so I had to bring it home.
When I started setting it up I realized that it was a bit trickier than I was expecting. You really need to set the threads deep enough into the various tension discs which took steady hands. I did learn to follow the directions in the manual which made the process easier. Now I think it was one of the easier to thread machines you can find but that is after some practice on it.

An overall great value

I needed a lightweight sewing machine that was easy to just start up and go. After doing some research, reading reviews, and even testing out a couple of machines I opted for the Brother XL-3750. The very first thing I noticed about it was the quick start guide which helped me sew right away. There is a chart for getting the bobbin and machine threaded which I worked through quickly. It did, however, take me a couple turns to get used to the automatic needle threader. I haven't ever had an automatic threading machine before and once I got this down I realized what I had been missing out on.

Great bargain at this price

The Juki 2 needle MO-654DE overlock is my fifth home serger and I can say, my favorite. For the past few years I've used a different brand for my sewing needs and it worked well but was quite a bit more expensive. I needed a new serger sewing machine but didn't want to spend upwards of $1000. This Juki was just what I needed and I'm glad I found it.

Quality workhorse of a machine

I have to say that the Janome TB12 Threadbanger is quite the workhorse of a sewing machine. I have worked professionally for several years as a tailor and have a lot of experience with many types of machines. I have used Bernina quite a bit but they are too expensive for my budget. I found this Janome after reading some online reviews and after using it I can say that it sews as good as any Bernina I used. It really makes some nice stitches and is very easy to use.
